How It Works
The series artworks constitute a limited collection of reproduced art. In this artistic process, the artist meticulously reproduces a specific painting a designated number of times, signified by the Series Number. These reproductions commence with the highest series number and are initially available at an entry-level price point. With each subsequent sale from the series, a unique artwork is meticulously crafted, accompanied by a reduction in the series number and an increment in the price. The final piece in the series is numbered as the first (lowest series number), and it is offered for purchase at a higher price than its predecessors in the collection.
Why Do This
The artist is dedicated to the idea of making art accessible to a broader audience, thereby ensuring that the beauty of their work can be appreciated by individuals who might not possess the financial resources to acquire a high-priced piece. This approach enables the artist to attain the recognition and value their artwork merits without the constraints that could otherwise hinder its acquisition by those who hold it in high regard.
Buyers who appreciate the artwork early in its release are rewarded with a more favorable price, as each limited reproduction increases in value over time. This approach encourages thoughtful collectors to engage with the art for its intrinsic value, rather than simply responding to market demand.
