After a rather lengthy painting hiatus, I have managed to replace the former lighting system with a much safer LED light and am happy to report I have resumed painting !

In addition to the good news of having resumed my art, I have also moved my painting location from the middle of my lounge floor into a dedicated studio space.

There was an old derelict building which had a really rotten roof, in fact, I used to live in that room some 18 years ago. With some recent high winds the roof was badly damaged and needed to be replaced.

With a new roof in place, it seemed only sensible to move the art into that room where it could be kept dry and safe.

The studio continues to be a work in progress, for now, its mostly been about the focus of getting things started again.

I have continued to work on a handful of pieces that were works-in-progress prior to my previous light exploding and will have something to show for it soon.

The studio has gotten its high powered light and a general overhead light, but is still missing a ceiling, and a coat of paint. I had access to an old rug which covers some carpet discolouration of the previous water damage caused by missing roof piece. Its pretty rustic and quaint, but I think I like it like that, I may leave the ceiling off, but will likely paint in the coming months.
